this logic extends beyond print. a single-file html is a zine, a zero-dependency cli is a zine, and deploying to bear blog rather than medium is a zine decision. the mimeograph aesthetic is not nostalgic; it is ethical.

the zine resists the logic of scale, distribution, and platform capture. i make it for the person who will hold it, not for the algorithm that will rank it.
