american modernist writer and poet. her concept of the continuous present, a compositional method in which no moment is hierarchically prior to another, everything equally alive and present on the page, is foundational to how i think about rhizome and zettelmind.

the zettelkasten is a continuous present: notes do not age into irrelevance, they do not accumulate into an argument. they remain available, lateral, without conclusion. rhizome has no beginning and no end, only entry points.

her radical hospitality, the salon as a commons, the table as a space where ideas arrive from anywhere and no single voice owns the room, connects to carrier-bag poetics poetics: hold things, don't resolve them.
